Let's throw apples at H1N1!

Hello dearest HSS students (& staff, perhaps)!

As you have heard, some of us have joined the very exclusive Q-Club where the requirements are to stay in our boxes we usually call home and use our very precious given time to complete our highly complex reports, projects, and any other work which can be done online (Year twos read: SOCIAL PSYCH SDL + RMB ASSIGNMENT ONE need SPSS!)
Okay back to serious business.

Encouragement
As you all know, H1N1 is a bad thing to have at this current moment, and for the two students who have tested positive for it, please GET WELL SOON! As for the rest, go get hold of both their phone numbers and spam them with encouragement! There's nothing better then receiving texts that show your friends' care and concern for you, so DO IT. :D Besides, we're from HSS. We're destined to make others feel better. ;)

H1N1? Can that be eaten?
For those who are naturally oblivious like me, towards what is happening globally, please google/wiki it (yes, not reliable I know. But it doesn't require APA formatting, so).
Here's the link.

As for those with LOA and haven't checked your TP emails (though I DON'T SEE WHY):
Please note the following instructions from Miss Elizabeth Tan:

- Based on 7 days from the last contact with the above student, your LOA will end on Friday (10 July). You will return to school on Monday (13 July).

- We strongly advise all of you to exercise social responsibility during this time. Please stay at home during your LOA and closely monitor your health. (MEANING DON'T GO OUT TO MEET YOUR FRIEND FOR A BUBBLE TEA SESSION PLEASE)

- You are to take your temperature twice a day (9am & 1pm) starting tomorrow, 7 Jul. Please sms or email both temperature readings to your respective Care Persons (CPs).

- If you have any enquiries regarding the H1N1 influenza, please contact the MOH hotline @ 1800-333-9999. You may also check out the MOH website: http://www.h1n1.gov.sg/homepage.htm for more information about the symptoms, treatment etc. If you develop any H1N1 symptoms, please see a doctor at any of the polyclinics, or any of the Pandemic Preparedness Clinics (PPCs). A list of the PPC can be located at http://www.street-directory.com/hpb.ppc/.

-Please check your TP email regularly (at least twice a day) during the LOA for instructions relating to the H1N1 influenza. You will also be informed of alternative arrangements for lessons that you will be missing as a result of the required LOA.

Alright, think you get the gist.

Please please please take care of yourself! Drink loads of water, and take supplements if you have them, and don't expose yourself to germs if you can help it!
Oh, and remember to do all your assignments. We wouldn't want to use this as an excuse to slack off and allow the GPA to drop, do we? (o:

Finally, let's be strong as a HSS family, and build up our culture of UNITY, and prove to the world that we're small but MIGHTY where nothing fazes us because we've got our AWESOME friends and lecturers as strong pillars of support (and we can tell other schools to go build their own pillars)!

Love you all ^_^
